According to it, you need to register your shop or establishment having labour employed under it to conduct business legally in the state of Maharashtra. This registration is called as Shop Act Licence in the state of Maharashtra.

Any Individual having Aadhar Card and PAN Card can apply for Shop Act Licence online by filling the above form. He can avail the same for his own Proprietorship firm, Partnership firm where he is a partner in the firm, Private Limited Company where he is a Director of the company or any Trust where he is the Trustee of the Trust.

If your company has employed anywhere between 0 to 9 employees, then it is eligible for the Namuna G Shop Act Licence. But if your company has employed more than 10 Employees, then it is eligible for Namuna B of the Shop Act Licence.

The Namuna G Shop Act Licence which is applicable for 0-9 employees is valid for 1 year and needs to be renewed every year. Whereas the Namuna B Shop Act Licence which is applicable for 10 or more employees is valid for Lifetime and does not need any renewal.
