Shop and Establishment Act has been determined under the Labour Law in the State of Maharashtra. According to it, you need to register your shop or establishment having labour employed under it to conduct business legally in the state of Maharashtra. This registration is called as Shop Act License in the state of Maharashtra.

Any Individual having Aadhar Card and PAN Card can apply for Shop Act License online by filling the above form. He can avail the same for his own Proprietorship firm, Partnership firm where he is a partner in the firm, Private Limited Company where he is a Director of the company or any Trust where he is the Trustee of the Trust.

If your company has employed anywhere between 0 to 9 employees, then it is eligible for the Namuna G Shop Act License. But if your company has employed more than 10 Employees, then it is eligible for Namuna B of the Shop Act License.

The Namuna G Shop Act License which is applicable for 0-9 employees is valid for 1 year and needs to be renewed every year. Whereas the Namuna B Shop Act License which is applicable for 10 or more employees is valid for Lifetime and does not need any renewal.

After all the process is completed, you get your Shop Act License within 3 to 4 Working Days Approximately. Any delay may be caused due to queries or rejections raised by the department.
